Los Angeles Was Awesome!! PART 1

I finally went to visit my sister in Los Angeles. She has been there for 8 years and I just never had the money or time to go. I decided enough was enough , we(Mike, Jess, & I) were going. So the 3 of us left Philly on Oct 6th and came back on the 11th.

The weather was great and we had a ball. We did more sightseeing in those few days then most people do in a week. FRI-We went to a look out point on Mulholland Drive, did the Hollywood Tour and went to a museum on movies & television, saw the Walk of Fame and checked out all the hand & foot prints in front of the Chinese Theater. I got to spend a night at work with my sis at The House of Blues and the Bangles were playing. It was a good show and the crowd was fun. We also went to the private club after the show, where an old guy was smoking a bowl and dancing around like crazy. Only in LA....

SAT-We went to Disneyland and had a great day there, Jessica loved it! I loved the Alice in Wonderland ride and the bobsleds. Mike fell asleep during dinner(another story in itself) which caused some issues with him not being awake enough when we were in line for Soaring. The place was decked out for the 50th Anniversary and there were special gold replicas of many of the cars for the rides. We only got to spend a short time in California Adventure but that is a very interesting park.

SUN-We went to brunch at the Castaway which was wonderful! The view was spectacular and the food was outstanding. A definte MUST DO when in LA. We then met up with my sisters friend, Becky, and went to Venice Beach and Santa Monica Pier. LOTS to see in Venice, did some shopping there.

Am I Insane for Taking On So Much?!

I haven't had anytime to think about posting, it's been so crazy. Since August I have started taking 2 college courses & volunteering one night a week. I have class on Tues & Thu from 7:00 AM-8:15 AM and then Thursday's after work from 6:00-9:20 PM. I volunteer on Wed evening from 5:30-9:30 PM. This is on top of my full-time job. My daughter has dance class, swimming lessons, and now Brownies so are schedules as a family are just as crazy. We also just joined a fitness club although I haven't had much of a chance to use it.

Housework....when will I fit that in? LOL

I had my first Test this morning & did well so I am happy with that. I have to give a speech on Thur, which I am not ready for. And I have to start organizing my stuff I want to take with me when we visit my sister.

We are going to California Oct 6th for 5 days. I am really excited to see my sister and check out LA.

Why are husbands so dense sometimes...

My birthday was last Sun 7/24 and my husband said "Happy Birthday" to me (so he didn't forget) but didn't even bother to get me a card.

It just set me off into feeling really depressed. I guess it upset me because I am full of life and love to celebrate special occassions or even silly ones like Ground Hog Day. I always make a point of doing something special for my family & friends on their birthdays.

I don't think he even knows that he hurt my feelings.

I'll get over it...

DISNEY WAS AWESOME!!

Walt Disney World was fantastic. We had a fun filled trip that was over too soon. Port Orleans French Quarter was a really nice resort and had a great pool area. Some of the ride high lights were : Mission Space, Test Track, Soaring, Rock-n-Roller Coaster, Terror of Terror, Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, and Big Thunder Mountain. Getting to see Cirque du Soleil's La Nouba was a memorable experience, just amazing!

We can't wait to go back in the future.

I'm counting down until our WDW vacation!

I am so excited to go on vacation in July, it's been 6 years since I've actually gone away for more than 2 days. My six-year old daughter is VERY happy to finally be going to Walt Disney World! I'm counting down the days...

The War in Iraq

I'd really love to hear from anyone stationed in Iraq. I'd like your opinion on the mission of this war & how you see it going. I support the people being sent there but I hate seeing our troops being killed every day while there. It seems senseless to me. Do the citizens there want us there? Are we making a difference?
